How does it connect to my phone?
Via Bluetooth. Pair once — no app required. Links to your phone's built-in emergency SOS. Works on iPhone and Android.
What's the difference between the two modes?
Pulling the pin triggers the 130 dB alarm AND activates your phone's Emergency SOS. Pressing the side button activates Emergency SOS silently, with no alarm sound. Both send a live location SMS after the call.
Who does it call?
Activates your phone's built-in Emergency SOS function. In Canada and the USA this initiates a call to 911. In the UK it initiates a call to 999. Across Europe it initiates a call to 112. In other countries, set your phone's emergency contact to a trusted person. The HaloAlarm activates Emergency SOS accordingly and sends your live location SMS automatically.
How does the live location SMS work?
After the emergency call ends, your live location is automatically sent as an SMS to your emergency contact. No app needed on their end, it arrives as a standard text message.
How loud is 130 dB?
Louder than a jet engine at close range — heard from over 300 feet away. Designed to draw immediate attention and deter threats.
How does it charge?
Via USB-C. The charging cable is included in the box, just charge it alongside your phone. No extra cables or accessories needed.
Is there a subscription or monthly fee?
No. No subscriptions, no monthly fees, no app to download. Pay once and it's ready to use — always.
Does my phone need to be unlocked?
No. The HaloAlarm SOS triggers your phone's emergency SOS function which works even when your phone is locked.
Does it work in Europe?
Yes. 112 is the standard emergency number across Europe and works in all EU countries. The HaloAlarm calls it automatically.
