MyHaloGear wasn't created in a boardroom.
It started with a simple observation.
Every day, millions of people change the way they move through the world because of personal safety concerns. They hold their phone a little tighter, text someone when they get home, avoid certain routes after dark, or stay on the phone while walking alone.
Like many women, I've experienced those moments too.
Then one conversation with my dad helped shape the vision for what MyHaloGear could become.
As he walked his grandchildren to the park, he shared how concerned he felt seeing children making their way home from school or playing alone in secluded areas. Like many parents and grandparents, he couldn't help wondering whether they would all get home safely.
That conversation reinforced something I already believed.
Personal safety isn't just a concern for one group of people. It affects students walking across campus, commuters heading home after work, parents thinking about their children, travellers exploring new places, healthcare workers leaving late shifts, and families who simply want the people they love to arrive home safely.
We believed there had to be a better approach.
As my vision for MyHaloGear became clearer, I approached it the same way I've approached most things in my career. With a background in business analysis and technology, I've always believed that the best solutions begin with understanding real problems and the people experiencing them. That mindset has shaped every decision behind MyHaloGear, from creating products that are simple to use when they matter most to building a brand focused on education, awareness, and confidence, not just devices.
